Circular Impressions
Victory Park
Dallas, Texas

After the completion of a three year project, Michael Baker installed an 18 foot stainless steel sculpture at "Cirque", a residential and commercial high-rise building in Victory Park across from The American Airlines Event Center in Dallas, Texas. Initial contact by the corporate landscape architect led to Michael's sculpture design that focused on the circular aspects throughout the building design. The sculpture, "Circular Impressions" was installed at the circular motor court entrance area of the building.

Pieces of the Puzzle
Botkins Community Park
Botkins, Ohio

Michael Baker has exhibited in the Botkins Sculpture Show for the past two years. Botkins is a very small Ohio town with very big ambitions. Their group set out to put together a great sculpture show, attract nationally known sculptors to the show, and promote sales of their sculpture. This festive event took place in July in the Botkins Community Park under a huge festival tent complete with well attended opening receptions.

As a result of the first year show, Michael was commissioned by a private collector to create the first sculpture for the park. "Pieces of the Puzzle" is a 7 foot stainless steel sculpture standing on a three foot black granite pedestal. There was a successful community turn out for the dedication including city officials, residents and media.

Sentinel #2
Pocket Park
Salisbury, North Carolina

The historic city of Salisbury, North Carolina, Michael Baker's hometown, had the idea of introducing contemporary sculpture to its public art collection by leasing a sculpture from Michael. "Sentinel #2" was installed in a new pocket park in the city's entertainment district. After the temporary lease expired, Michael returned the stainless steel sculpture to his gallery. The exciting result is the popular sculpture has been purchased by a private citizen to be donated to the city and returned to the park location.
