These are four recently designed maquettes.
This represents a new series of sculptures that I am workng on while in Costa Rica.
The sculptures will be fabricated from plate steel with a painted finish.
The maquette size will be between 24" and 36" high.
These maquettes will be preliminary to future large scale sculptures.

My work has always been inspired by architecture and the forms that are found within architectural structures.
From circular, triangular, rectangular or square shapes and forms, it has been my objective to arrange these forms into a three dimensional sculpture that I feel is organized and interesting.
As the construction process develops, I find that the negative spaces that are created also become a major aspect to what I feel is essential to each piece.
It is important that the sculpture is interesting from all angles whether the shapes be more volumetric or in more my most recent work, where the sculptures are incorporating more plate steel.
